Here is my latest feel good post. It was from an email I received recently

GET A BIT OF SHADE AND HERE’S WHAT HAPPENED WHEN
THE OWNER GAVE HIM SOMETHING TO DRINK.  IT’S REALLY CUTE.

I love presents but this year I decided to do something a bit different. This year, I could be the giver. I went to a PSI Seminar called Principia. Yes, it was an awesome event. I got to see the likes of Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, Rev. Michael Beckwith and my favorite, Bob Proctor. In fact, I got to share the stage with him!

But what made this event special apart from the speakers (and the attendees themselves in fact) was a “project”.

Let me give you some perspective. We visited an area where 79% of school kids live in single family homes in some of the poorest part of the USA. The local school hadn’t had a decent playground for over 20 years. So, the PSI students and staff got together and MADE ONE.

There were no leaders, no plan but one big objective. Lay 42,000 sq feet of grass IN LESS THAN 3 HOURS. Maybe the video will make more sense

Angels Explained By Children

I only know the names of two angels, Hark and Harold.

a big head start on helping me while she was still down here on earth.

they don’t make the animals get better, they help the child get over it.

is in love, they shoot arrows at them.

Everyone knows about goals, yet most people do not have them. Even less have specific goals. Why is that? Michaelangelo is credited for saying

“The greater danger is not that our hopes are too high and we fail to reach them, its that they are too low and we do.”

Most people don’t set goals because they it is too depressing when we fail. There is a lot that can be said about courage and persistence. I fail to reach goals all the time. So what! However, I do make sure I get the goal as soon as possible after that.

A JOB IS NOT FOR THE FUN OF IT

For those who don’t have goals, it’s  usually because we don’t exactly know what we want. Napoleon Hill (author of Think and Grow Rich) referred to having a Definite Purpose. If we have a higher reason to achieve something (for example, for the environment or for our children) then the likelyhood of us achieving it is much higher. Rather than having a goal for no reason have a specific goal for a higher reason. This is our Definite Purpose. I promise you are more likely to achieve your goal if you have a higher purpose. For instance, we don’t have a job because we LOVE our job. We have a job to earn cash but even that is not the reason. We have a job for the things & experiences we can buy.

Think about all the things you want to achieve. I’m positive if you had a higher reason for achieving it, you would reach your goals more readily. You would also have a greater motivation and greater clarity on what specific goals you want.

Much of my upcoming book is about following your true passion. If you can connect to your true self, your passion, power and inspiration flows as a matter of course. There is no need for motivational works or external drivers, we can flow from our own natural, loving abundant selves.

You see, it IS possible to live the life you dream. I do every day. I travel when I want, I spend time with who I want, I eat, drink and play whenever I want. I spent as much of my time as I like with my son.

This was not the case 3 years ago. I was working long hours, not at all heathly and had quite a bitter attitude. That really did change with Bob Proctor and The Secret.

But back to the reason of this post. Part of that disillusionment was the fact that I saw no hope. Today it is a very different proposition. Hope is like a warm blanket, reassuring, safe and comfort. This video pretty much does the same. You MUST check out this truly inspiring video.

When do you know when to give up? As far as I can tell, never. As I mentioned recently, I went 10 months with no tangible result for a million dollar idea (Blog post here). In the space of 3 days, I had 2!

All I did was focus on Napolean Hill‘s definition of persistence from “Think and Grow Rich “

• Definite purpose

• Definite plan

• Mind closed to negativity

• Alliance with others who will encourge and support plan and purpose

DEFINITE PURPOSE

There is nothing more powerful than a definite purpose. When you know what you want, it easy to make decisions and take action. This is because you KNOW things are going to turn out how you want them as long as you are clear and persist. It is a great motivator too.

DEFINITE PLAN

A definite plan is a structured way to apply yourself. That way you can make the best use of your time and resources. You have a specific way to move forward and you can move forward with confidence. For instance, it is hard to build a house without a plan. Equally it is hard to run a business without a plan. The same goes for our personal lives.

MIND CLOSED TO NEGATIVITY

When the Wright Brothers learnt to fly many people chastised them. When Marconi (inventor of the radio) told his friends that it was possible to transfer sound through the air, his friends put him in an asylm. You WILL see resistence from yourself and those around you when you start something big. This is because no one can definitely determine the exact outcome. But you must carry on regardless. If you fail, you are one step closer to being successful.

ALLIANCE WITH OTHERS WHO WILL ENCOURGE AND SUPPORT PLAN AND PURPOSE

In any endeavor there must be people who will work with and for you to achieve your aim. Teamwork is a vital key to success in any project. Find mentors, coaches and mastermind groups that are willing to be part of your dream and hold you accountable to your dream. Over time, they will support you when you are down and you can do the same for them. That way everyone is supported all the time.
