I HAVE BEEN A STUDENT OF THE LAW OF ATTRACTION
FOR SOME TIME. THERE ARE MANY EXCITING STORIES
TO TELL. HERE IS MY FAVORITE. TODAY I PRESENT A
STORY ON HOW THE LAW OF ATTRACTION WORKS
FOR ME.
The Law of Attraction DOES WORK. I have seen continual
examplesof it in my life. There isn’t a trick. It really is simple.
Initially, like most, I was a skeptic but then one very profound
incident happened to me and I have never looked back. Today
I am goingto tell you how I use the Law of Attraction but first
a quick story onthat profound day. It’s a longer post than
normal but I promise you it is worth the read.
About 4 years ago it was an unusual summer. Not only was it very
hot but it also snowed on the weekend we decided to spend some
time out of town. I was your typical hard working individual. I was
working too many hours, I wasn’t looking after myself and my
health was suffering. My home life and relationships were
collapsing around me. I had no balance and if something was going
to happen, then it was going to happen to me very soon.
Fortunately, the thing that happened ended up a positive
experience.
Some friends of mine knew how unhappy I was an convinced me
to take a weekend off away from town. I hadn’t done this in a
long time. While up there we ate organic food, drank filtered
water and even had a vocabulary challenge which involved
avoiding words like “not, can’t, unable” etc. We even removed
our watches, ate when hungry and slept when tired. Essentially,
we were attempting to purify our minds and bodies of negativity.
While up there we decided to focus on our future. Topics
discussed were: our vision for ourselves, our dreams and
aspirations. We meditated and focused with passion on everything
we wanted to come to us. But how would we know we were doing
the right thing and heading in the right direction? We decided that
an unexpected sign would let us know. It would be a goldfish. We
were not near a lake, river or ocean so it would unlikely turn up
because we it was around.
That night, I got a phone call. Long lost relatives were coming to
town and I had to be back home to meet them. The trick was it
took me 3 hours to get up there. I would have to leave now.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t leave for another 30 minutes so I
would only have 2.5 hours to get home. But I was determined.
All I focused on was getting home on time. I even removed the
only clock face in my car (a face plate of my radio.)
On the way home, the heavens opened up. I have never seen rain
like it. The rain was so heavy that traffic on the highway was
stationary. An accident had happened, I would be delayed.
I never even reached the speed limit for much of the way home.
As I got into town, I looked at the clock in my house. I had done
it! I had got home on time – 2.5 hours and I didn’t speed. The
restaurant I was going to was in town so I headed off again. At
the restaurant, the first sign appeared. On the back wall was
the logo of the restaurant, 2 goldfish!
Excited to tell my story, I headed back out of town the next
morning. “I’ve got to tell you a story!” I said. “So do we!”,
my friends replied. As we sat on the couch I told them about
my goldfish.
Now the town we were near is small. As it was Sunday, the ONLY
3 stores open were a supermarket, a cafe and a saddlery. In it
was anything made of leather – boots, hats and of course horse
saddles. My friends, out of curiosity went in to the saddlery. At
the back of the store was a tank for sale. In it were 2 goldfish!!
Astounded, we all laughed that our sign was coming up but what
we didn’t notice was the strawberries we were eating at the time.
There was one strawberry left. As I picked it up, we were all totally
blown away. The last strawberry was in the SHAPE OF A
GOLDFISH! Take a look at the photo below. It is the ACTUAL
strawberry!
Convinced, I left my job and never looked back. I have always
followed my intuition and it has never let me down.
So what are the keys to attracting anything
in your life?
1. Simplify and eliminate distractions.
This includes anything in excess. It may be TV, junk food, unhealthy mindsets etc.
You MUST put yourself in a position to have positive things come to you.
2. Define your vision
When we go to the beach, we pack swimming gear. When we go
to the snow we pack snow gear. The type of preparation we make
for ourselves must be appropriate to where we are going. We can
only prepare when we have decided what we want in life. If we don’t have a vision set out for ourselves that reaches well into
the future, we can never prepare our mind and bodies for the vision we want to achieve.
3. Have a passion.
Odds are if you aren’t inspired, everything you do will be hard
work. If you love doing something, do it. Use that inspiration
to achieve your dream. Never let anyone talk you out of it. If
you follow your passion, it is never hard work and you will
always find time for your dream. Chase that dream with the
vigor and energy that you know you have in you.
4. Have faith.
Anything worth doing is worth pursuing until the end of time. Have
faith that everything you do is contributing towards that. Sometimes it will feel like nothing is happening. That does not mean it cannot happen in the future if you are persistent. A mindset of positive faith is unstoppable.
5. Make your dreams measurable.
How will you know you are making progress if you can’t measure
it? Even if you move bit by bit toward your goal, you must achieve
it. But you can never know you are making progress unless you
measure it.
6. Commit
This is the most important. If you are serious about making a
difference in your life, it MUST begin with you. Your attitude
and focus are vital to achieving your vision. Commitment is
the decision that changes your mindset and actions to achieve.
Everything else is just a wish.
So there you have it. My story and the keys to the Law of
Attraction. My vision is you decide to make a change today!
